Q: I want to perform at LSI. Where do I start?
A: We recommend starting with our improv classes! No experience necessary to begin!
If you have some improv experience and are looking to get on stage and start performing, check out LSI Open Stage! LSI Open Stage is our open performance improv show every Sunday at 6:00pm. You are welcome to come with a team or by yourself and you’ll be added to a mashup improv team for the show that evening! Sign ups begin at 5:30pm. The show is free to watch for audience members. This is not a standup open mic or character mic, this show is improv only.
Q: Are your shows appropriate for kids?
A: Sometimes! Because we are an improv theater, our shows are different every single night. Generally, we find that our shows are equivalent to a PG-13 movie rating. Our performers try to be cognizant when there are children in the audience, but there is variability. Children are always welcome when accompanied by a parent. Unaccompanied children are not permitted in the venue.
Q: I want to see a show! Which show do you recommend?
A: Check out one of our weekly 8pm improv shows, Wednesday – Sunday! These signature $5 comedy shows include the smallprov show (Wednesdays), The Thursday Show (Thursdays) The Friday Show (Fridays), The Saturday Show (Saturdays) and The Sunday Show ft. The Late 90s (Sundays).
Q: How early should I arrive before the show?
A: Please try to arrive 15 minutes before the start of the show! We are a small, open seating theater. Arriving early ensures you have time to comfortably check in and find seats with your group before the show begins. Doors open 30 minutes before the start of each show.
